NCS Product Synopsis
Update: February 27, 2006

«©NCSX» Sagi is a 15 year-old member of an elite force that has been sent to assassinate the emperor of Alfard. When Sagi reaches his intended target, he finds that someone else has done the job for him. Although he didn't do the deed, suspicion falls upon Sagi and it would appear that the young assassin has been framed for the emperor's murder. Another young assassin named Giacomo, a member of the elite Nasca palace guard, is sent to track down Sagi and avenge the emperor's murder. Sagi's partner is a lanky automaton named Guillo who was discovered during an impromptu archaeological dig. As an automaton, Guillo has independent thought as well as volition to propel it forward in battle and exploration alongside Sagi.

Take control of the spirit that resides within Sagi and guide him and cohorts in an adventure to reveal the dark conspiracy afoot in the kingdom. Card battling tactics return to the Baten Kaitos world where fighters animate in vibrant detailed arenas as magic attacks as well as conventional blows are shown in fluid animation. For example, when a warrior blasts out a special attack, he may do a little pirouette up into the air amidst a sparkling of blue light before charging forward to impact a multi-hit combo on a beast. During a battle, the upper portion of the screen shows the active combatants in your party along with their health and active status. The lower portion of the screen shows the cards available to the party and a little hand pointer icon is used to click on the cards to activate and trigger into battle.

The full name is Baten Kaitos II: Hajimari no Tsubasa to Kamigami no Shishi.
Region Lock-out

NCS Game Notes
* When your party is on the battlefield and you're flipping through the cards to use, Guillo stands there with legs apart and arms up in the air. Guillo seems to be gyrating slowly like a flamenco dancer. When attacked, Guillo can take a punch or three as its arms flail backwards as it absorbs the brunt of the oncoming blows. After a successful battle, Guillo performs a backflip to convey its joy at achieving victory.

* Relay Combos start off with one fighter attacking which is then followed by the next fighter continuing the chain attack for multiple hits on a hapless beast. The attacks go on until everyone's had a turn. Generally, a low level enemy doesn't survive once the round robin is completed.
