NCS Product Synopsis Update: November 16, 2002 «©NCSX» Four mystical warriors wielding elemental force face off against an evil warlord who has appropriated a mighty weapon. To topple his plan for world domination, the heroes battle through hordes of minions, find runes which impart spell powers, and level up in skill. The Gamecube game Battle Houshin migrates to the PS2 in three editions: A normal version, a version bundled with Houshin Engi 2, and another bundled with Shin Sangoku Musou Mushouden. Up to four players may participate in the various cooperative play and versus modes.

NCS Game Notes * In the intro to the game, Kang calls upon the power of the star and releases himself and his Generals. He also retrieves the Dragon Orb and raises all of his warriors from the ground.
* The action is fairly mindless. Double-tap the L-analog to make Shiga rush into an enemy, press "X" to jump, and "O" to attack in monotonous fashion. Guarding against blows requires tapping of the R1 or R2 triggers. A magic attack may be activated by pressing the "SQUARE" button.
* The first battle involves fighting about a hundred undead warriors while Lani and your fellow troops are also on the battlefield providing support. Peaches may be picked up from slain enemies to regain health along with items that replenish the magic meter. The end level boss is a massive monster called a Bruin which attacks with claws and galloping rushes. It is joined by a number of silvery wolves which also attack with running/sniping jaws.
