«©NCSX» Convenience stores are the natural consequence of cities and subcultures that never sleep. Battle hardened World of Warcraft addicts can always rely on the local 7-11 or The Pantry to be open at 4AM in the morning after a particularly grueling gaming session. Similarly, night owls with a case of the munchies can also get their fix when the hunger pangs hit in the middle of the night.
In The Conveni 200X, gamers get a chance to open their own chain of convenience stores and serve a population of salarymen, families, scary otaku, and assorted locals who provide mass foot traffic. Players decide the store design, which items to stock, advertising, operating hours, and all the other choices that determine the versatility and... convenience... of a convenience store. As the general manager, players have the opportunity to oversee the entire machine and tweak when things need fixing. Two rival convenience store chains are also a factor in the game and one must outmaneuver the competition before they steal all of your foot traffic. As you grow and continue to succeed, it is also possible to buy out your competitors and expand your reach with their stores.
