«©NCSX» The Kaidan Restaurant series of children's books from Doshinsha have sold over 8 million copies in Japan. The books are compilations of horror stories which involve Japanese characters at school, at work, and around town. Similar to other successful print franchises in Japan, Kaidan Restaurant was made into an animated series. The Nintendo DS Kaidan software features 100 stories from the animation which was supervised by the producer of the television serial. In addition to the stories, the software includes a number of mini-games and a fortune telling feature.
