«©NCSX» Bandai inducts super saiyan with spiky hair into an RPG which features 3D movement along with action-packed battles and event triggers. The story takes players back to the origins of the first Dragon Ball series where a young Son Goku meets a girl name Bulma and begins his journey for the retrieval of the Dragon Balls.

The polygon models used in the game recreate the likeness of the characters faithfully although Bulma looks a little off. Goku is controlled with the stylus - to move, simply tap the stylus on the screen and he'll ramble over obediently. When an enemy appears, swish the stylus towards it to attack. Goku can also perform a special moves including a spin attack which is triggered by swirling the stylus in a circular motion.

NCS Game Notes
» The game features an impressive animated intro with energetic theme song.

» Tap the title screen to start a new game and you'll get to select one of three save slots to store your progress.

» Name entry may be made in hiragana or katakana.

» Either the d-pad or touch screen may be used to control Goku. To move Goku with the touch screen, simply tap on a location and he'll run to the target like a munchkin possessed. The face buttons are only used to shift the camera in the four cardinal directions and the L-Trigger switches weapons from Goku's fist to his wooden pole (weapon). To attack, tap on an enemy and Goku will hit it with his fist or stick.

» At the outset of the game, a few simple tasks in a training session must be accomplished before Goku can proceed on his grand adventure. To make things easy for players, arrows show where Goku must go and what he must do. To lift up a rock, tap on the rock and Goku will automatically heft it above his head. To push a large concrete block into the river, tap on it and Goku will shove it forward with ease.

» Goku will get to fight a pig in the early going. Tap on it to dole out the hurt. To perform a rushing attack, tap and drag the touchpen in the direction of the pig and Goku will run into it with speedy determination. Goku can also perform an evasive rolling maneuver if you tap twice in quick succession on a location on the touch screen.

» Once the proper game starts, Bulma will join Goku and your first task it to head south and east to retrieve a Dragon Ball that's sitting on top of a bureau. Bulma shows Goku that she also has two Dragon Balls in her pockets. After a short exchange, the two head out together in an adventure to retrieve the rest of the Dragon Balls.

» Bulma travels with Goku but she moves independently of him. She'll run ahead and your job is to follow her like a good dog. Occasionally, obstacles will appear and Goku will have to forge ahead and get rid of the obstacle so that Bulma can continue onwards. When enemy pigs and bats appear, Bulma will take a shot at them with her firearm but Goku will do most of the damage.

» If you tap and hold the touch pen on Goku, he'll charge up. To send him on a rushing dash attack, swish the stylus in the direction of an enemy and he'll blaze into the creature with extreme prejudice.
