NCS Product Synopsis
Update: October 19, 2007
«©NCSX» Kazuya Shiranami reprises his role as a member of the Rune Angel Troupe which replaced the Moon Angel Troupe from the original Galaxy Angel series. At the outset of the game, the player takes on the role of Kazuya and hears his name being repeated by different voices. The screen shifts to a view of Apricot Sakuraba and the adventure to find the remaining gatekeepers across the cosmos begins.

Similar to the earlier Galaxy Angel II: ~Zettairyouiki no Tobira~game, the new adventure brims with interactive sequences, lots of conversations to view, and action-packed battle sequences that take place in outer space. Two new members are inducted into the Rune Angel Troupe in the new game: a pink-haired girl named Natsume Izayoi (she's the topmost character on the game cover) who pilots a pink Emblem Frame called the Papillon Chaser and a blonde guy named Rosel Mateus who takes control of an Emblem Frame dubbed the Holy Blood.

A Tutorial Mode may be chosen from the main menu which features six lessons on playing Galaxy Angel II. While the controls or concepts aren't difficult to learn, the primer serves as a useful tool to check out the functions and basic play mechanics used in the game.

NCS Game Notes
» Artdink developed the game for Broccoli

» The game spans two DVDs and we're guessing the copious amounts of crystal clear speech contributed to much of that space hogging.

» The title screen features the following selections

1) New Game - Begin a new adventure with the girls of Galaxy Angel
2) Load Game - Resume an adventure from memory card save-data
3) Option - Toggle Dual Shock on/off, Adjust sound volumes, choose "Wing of Destiny" or "Eternal Love 2007" theme songs.
4) Tutorial - Learn the different menu settings, movement principles, team movement procedures, controller settings, etc you'll be using in the game. The tutorial is split into 6 lessons which will take about 30 minutes to view entirely.

» Start a new game and a fairly lengthy prologue begins which is accompanied by a male voice-over. To toggle auto-forwarding of the introductory sequence, press the "TRIANGLE" button and you won't have to tap the "O" button everytime an "O" button prompt appears on the screen. At the outset of the game, everyone's repeating the protagonist's name "Kazuya" who returns in the adventure to team up with the Rune Angel girls. A group shot appears with Apricot dead-center before the proper introduction plays which is accompanied by a theme song and an animated introduction. The Emblem Frames of the various girls are shown followed by the Battleship Luxiole. The Frames are then shown flying through the cosmos destroying things while colorful neon lines trail the ships.

» In the first scene, Kazuya is greeted by the always cheerful Apricot and they hold a conversation in which Kazuya introspects with an echoing voice. Apricot breaks him out of his reverie and their talk continues. Note that if you toggled the Auto function, their conversation will go on without your interaction. The two are later interrupted by a green haired miscreant but he shuffles off soon afterwards.

» Kazuya has a rendezvous with the rest of the Galaxy Angel II crew in a meeting room where they're joined by a disembodied black cat's head. Note that the entire introductory sequence takes about an hour which establishes the background information and introduces the player to the different characters.

» After the introduction, the player will find himself in an area with outlines of buildings. There are four levels (the game calls them Block-A to Block-D) to explore which may be selected by pressing the R1 or R2 trigger. If you go to Block-C and select the building where Apricot is located, you'll go to the cafeteria and be greeted by a green-haired worker who's dressed in a maid's outfit of some sort. Food service workers are apparently a different breed in outer space. After the encounter, Apricot appears and engages Kazuya in conversation.

» As hinted earlier, voice acting accompanies all of the text and dialogue in the game.

» The portrait box for each girl contains three gauges - the yellow line is for HP, the blue line is for EP, and the red line reads out the SP.

» Save the game at any time by pressing the SELECT button and then highlight and choose the first option on the menu.
