«©NCSX» The latest Gundam franchise started airing in Japan in October 2007 and quickly garnered a loyal following. The story takes place in the year 2307 A.D. where a quartet of mech handlers known as Gundam Meisters lead an initiative to end a war that's wrecking their planet. As the story goes, conventional fuel has been depleted and solar energy powers the three remaining superpowers on Earth. As a result of the power monopoly, insurgent rogue nations go to war for fuel. Due to the strife, an organization called Celestial Being is assembled to stop the conflict.
Bandai's new PS2 3D mech fighting game is based on the first season of Gundam OO (Episodes 1-25) and follows the storyline from the animated series. Players may choose one of the four Gundam Meisters (Setsuna Seiei, Lockon Stratos, Allelujah Haptism, and Tieria Erde) and play the game from his point of view. When two mechs clash and trigger certain conditions, a special animation will play in-between the action to add additional drama to the battle. The game also includes a new animated cinema that was produced by the creative staff of the animation.
Early preorders will ship with a bonus Gundam OO animation DVD in 50% ratio. Due to the uneven allocation, new orders will not include the bonus.
Region Lock-out
Please note Japanese Playstation 2 games will not boot on
USA or European PS2 consoles due to the inherent region-lockout on Playstation 2 game discs.
