«©NCSX» A fateful encounter between high school soccer captain Endo Mamoru and a player named Shuya Goenji leads to the revival of a soccer club that was in the dumps. Together, the two footballers recruit other team members (from a roster of 1000 characters) to bring their squad to the forefront of the Japanese high school soccer leagues.

Level 5's latest game mixes RPG elements with soccer action to create a touch-screen sports simulation unlike any other. The cel-shaded visuals used in the game hearken back to the style used in Dragon Quest and Rogue Galaxy. A unique control scheme allows gamers to draw lines and curves on the touch screen which provide the pathways that the soccer players move towards while running on the field.

Bonus Schwag
All preorders will include a bonus 55-page booklet which contains Inazuma Eleven manga, game play tips, and general information on the property.

NCS Game Notes
 »
Three save slots are available and the character's name entry may be input in either katakana or hiragana.

» The game features relatively impressive animated cinemas - for example, after starting the game, Endo is shown walking into the school's soccer club room where six motley team members are sitting around reading, playing cards, playing the Nintendo DS, and otherwise loafing off. The quality of the video is good for a card based game.

» Speech accompanies the dialogue in the game during the animated sequences.

» When roaming around the school, the top screen shows an overview of the entire campus while the touch screen features Endo and company as they wander around the game world. The D-pad is used for movement.

» Pressing and holding the L or R buttons will swivel the camera in a 90° arc for a better view of your surroundings.

» If you visit the parking lot located in the southwest portion of the campus, you'll inexplicably find a treasure chest on the third parking spot (top row).

» To trigger an important event, walk to the right until you reach the school's soccer field. Members from a rival high school soccer team will accost Endo and challenge him to a soccer challenge. It's on.

» A short tutorial starts which teaches how to draw lines on the field to direct soccer team members. Drawing a circle will cause the designated soccer player to run in the circular pathway which is useful for circling an opposing striker.

» After the tutorial, Endo is heads back to the clubhouse but he'll bump into a student named Shuya. The bump sends Endo sprawling and into the dirt but Shuya pays him little mind and shuffles along on his way.

» Back at the clubhouse, a grave-faced school administrator informs the soccer club that their days are numbered. Endo's mission is to save the school soccer club from being disbanded.

» The game system is fairly lenient and big colored arrows on the school campus map will show you where to go next. Level 5 apparently wants to hold your hand when playing Inazuma Eleven.

» The symbol of the school is a lightning bolt that looks suspiciously like the bolt used by the Dengeki publishing empire.

» To speed up your pace when walking, press and hold the "B" button and Endo will move at twice his usual gait.

» In the first major area outside of the high school, Endo will climb a watchtower to retrieve a notebook. When he descends from the tower, he's accosted by two ruffians but Shuya walks in and helps him by kicking a soccer ball into the face of the main assailant. Endo offers his hand as a gesture of friendship but Shuya smacks it away after having a flashback.
