NCS Product Synopsis
«©NCSX» Ayrton Senna was a successful race car driver who won six Monaco GP races and numerous Grand Prix races around the world. Senna died in a racing accident on May 01, 1994 in the San Marino GP which lead to a trial against the Williams racing team who had built and modified Senna's car. The culprit in Senna's accident was suspected to be the modified steering column in a trial held in Italy but the Williams team was acquitted of all charges.

In his homeland of Brazil, Senna is a beloved figure. Outside of Brazil, the country that loves Ayrton Senna like one of its own is Japan. Manufacturer Kotobukiya has released a statue which celebrates Senna's 1993 victory at the Japan Grand Prix -Suzuka- where he drove for McLaren. The statue is sculpted to 1/6 scale and measures 35cm or 13.77" tall.

From the Manufacturer
A KOTOBUKIYA Japanese import! The debut release in a new series of goods and Kotobukiya's first ever sporting figure, the Fine Art Statue of AYRTON SENNA brings to life the legendary icon of Formula One Racing. A hero in his homeland of Brazil and Japan where he competed in some of his most famous races, Senna's career included 41 victories, 65 pole positions, and three world championships. His legacy of philanthropy rivals that of his racing: only after his death behind the wheel during the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix was it discovered that he had donated millions of dollars from his personal fortune to children's charities.

Appearing as he did before the 1993 Japan Grand Prix, Ayrton Senna charms the crowd as only he knew how, waving his hand and his racing helmet above his head. The legendary driver wears his red Nacional driving uniform, intricately detailed with every seam, crease, and sponsor patch. Sculpted by Hideaki Hirata, Senna's face features an amazingly realistic sculpt, and the Fine Art Statue has been officially approved by the Ayrton Senna Institute.
Senna stands 13 1/2 inches tall atop a special base inscribed with a reproduction of his signature and a metal name plate of the 1993 race. Constructed of cold case porcelain and including a Certificate of Authenticity, this fantastic tribute is limited to 2,500 pieces worldwide, with part of the profits going to disadvantaged children through the Ayrton Senna Institute.
