NCS Product Synopsis
Update: April 18, 2007
«©NCSX» Fuka Yamagishi opens up the new storyline in Persona 3 Fes where she phones Yukari Takeba on her pink phone. At the conclusion of the call, Fuka walks further into the room where the camera peels back to take in the Special Extracurricular Activities Club at Gekko High School. Seated at the top is Student Council President Mitsuru Kirijou and she's ringed by Junpei Iori, Ken Amada, and Koromaru. As they chat, they're joined by Aegis - a blonde android who battles Shadows with adept skill. Aegis is the focal point in the new chapter of Persona 3 and players take control of her throughout the adventure while the cast of characters provide backup support and interaction.

Persona 3 Fes Append Edition is an adjunct to the original Persona 3 game and features a new chapter dubbed Episode Aegis. The new story follows the events after the conclusion of Persona 3. Please note that in order to play this game, you must first boot the original Persona 3 game and then swap it out with the Persona 3 Fes Append Disc to start the adventure. New features include an entirely new cinematic introduction, new Personas to use, new uniforms, and a hard mode for gamers who enjoy a good challenge.

NCS Game Notes
» The intro has changed to a mix of animated sequences and snippets of isometric in-game action. A rap/japanese song plays. The students are shown in normal everyday scenes as well as in battle scenes against foes. The intro ends abruptly along with the music before the Persona 3 logo phases into view.

» Press any button on the title screen and a single selection pops up:
Episode Aegis - New append chapter featuring the android Aegis as protagonist

Select the game and the following options appear:
Load Game, New Game, Config, Return to Title Screen

The Config option allows players to toggle vibration, voice, auto skip, cursor memory, strategy memory, command mode, and camera mode on or off.

» Episode Aegis is a new chapter that takes place after the events of the original Persona 3 storyline. The game starts with black clouds blowing away from a bright full moon which changes into a whirring wheel in a machine. The camera pulls out to view a lot of wheels whirring inside the grand machine. The scene changes to a battle between Aegis and a gray-haired guy with a bandage over his left temple. After punching and throwing down, gunfire makes an appearance. A character appears with red butterfly wings over its face and a girl's voice accompanies onscreen dialogue which recaps the events in the original Persona 3 chapter and leads into the new adventure that awaits.

» The game starts on 3/3/2010 at 1:30PM - the sound of a phone may be heard and a blue haired gal named Fuuka Yamagishi is standing near a window with blue curtains. She's calling someone on a pink-colored handset and eventually reaches Yukari-chan. After a short conversation, the call ends abruptly and Fuuka walks into the room where the camera pulls back to reveal some members of the Special Extracurricular Activities Club.

» Redhead Mitsuru Kirijou is seated on a sofa to the north, Fuuka sits to her left and to her own left is a brown haired girl named Amada Ken. Amada is accompanied by a dog named Koromaru while opposite them is a baseball cap-wearing guy named Iori Junpei. They're later joined by a blonde girl with big red bow in front of her blouse uniform. She looks human but she's not - her name is Aegis and she's an android.

» After the group commiserates, the scene changes to the night hour and the whole gang sans Yukari is sitting around watching television. While watching and talking amongst themselves, three beeps sound off and a huge bang sounds off somewhere in the premises. They all get up at once and doggie barks twice. They talk for a while before Aegis walks away to regenerate. The scene changes to "Late at Night" and a self-dialogue plays in Aegis' CPU as she's seated in her chair in the middle of boxes of ammo. She lowers the chair and a blue butterfly drifts around the screen before flapping in front of her. It disappears after she says "Chou" and a loud bang may be heard. She exclaims, "Nani" which may be translated to "What's That?" Fuuka knocks on her door to request entry. Aegis grants passage and Fuka rushes in with a panic in your voice and fear in her eyes. After a short interval, the two rush off. In the next scene, Aegis comes upon the members of her team on the floor and Koromaru at a defensive stance. She spies the back of an android warrior who looks like her except she's dressed in black and her face is covered by red butterfly wings. The warrior turns around and Aegis thinks its a Shadow but it speaks. From above, Fuuka appears in a telescreen and warns the team. The strange android's name is Meteisu and she gets into a battle stance and an encounter takes place where Aegis faces off against the attacker.

» Attacks are chosen from a rotary selection wheel where commands may be chosen. In a conventional attack indicated by the jagged icon, Aegis leaps up and fires off gunfire. There's also a "Summon Persona" attack marked by a starry icon and a "use item" action indicated by the bag icon. After knocking a couple of hundred HP from Meteisu, she'll falter and skip her turn. Attack two more times with gunfire and she'll drop to her knees. Aegis will earn 11003 experience points from the battle and level up. Afterwards, Meteisu blazes up and attacks Aegis with a mighty attack and then hits Amada Ken. Aegis is down in the background and watches the scene as Amada is lifted up by the neck. The other party members can only watch. In the next scene, Aegis has a flashback of sorts and gets up and summons a mighty Persona which changes in mid-attack into another form which brings Meteisu to her knees again and destroys her mask.

» Scene shift to Igor's place where Aegis is seated in front of him and his chambermaid. Opera wail plays in the background.

» In the next scene, Yukari has joined the team but Amada is not seen at first. Aegis sits on the sofa in her battle armor with her legs crossed and her head pointed downwards. After a short conversation, they walk over to where Amada and Akihito Sanada are standing on both sides of the fallen Meteisu who is seated and sleeping. She later wakes up and surprises the team. Her mask flips up and she seems unsure of what has just transpired. Meteisu later raises both arms and breaks the bonds the tie her to the chair. The links of chains may be seen scattered on the floor. Meteisu later walks off and the entire team follows her. The next scene is in a desert setting where a door in the middle of nowhere is standing. The camera shifts and we see that the crew just descended from stairs and another door may be seen to the right side of the team.

» After the desert scene, control is handed over to the player. The L-Analog moves Aegis around while the R-Analog swivels the camera. To speak to party members standing around the room, run up to a person and press the "O" button. If you descend the stairs, you'll reach the desert area again. A number of doors are standing around which are portals to new areas.

» All of the dialogue in the introductory part of the game is accompanied by voice acting. Once you're given full control of Aegis however, the dialogue bubbles are only accompanied by the background music.
