«©NCSX» Through the glens, woodland areas, waters, and ancient ruins of the world, the spirits have turned from passive entities to malevolant discarnates. No one knows why they have turned but its up to a dragon master named Justy to ride out with his fledgling dragon and seek a way to pacify the poltergeists once again. Justy's gal pal Meg also joins the dynamic duo on their quest.
Played in typical adventuring style, dragon handlers ride on a dragon which is viewed from behind the hero. Enter a town and talk to people and the screen changes to an interaction screen. The wrinkle in the game is dragon evolution where the baby dragon can grow and alter its form as it grows up. According to SCE, over 20,000 variants are available and special attacks and skills may be bulked onto a beast by way of battle experience and certain foods.
