«©NCSX» Before GE hit the Dreamcast with Pen Pen Tricelon, they made PS games. In the USA we have boy bands such as N'Sync and Back Street Boys - Japan is similarly cursed with Kinki Kids, SMAP, Arashi and Hikari Genki. In the first (and notably, last) video-game featuring a Japanese boy band, Project V6 focuses on Johnny Entertainment's boy band creation known as V6 which debuted in 1995.
V6 performs techno/dance songs with superfluous gravity but tend to engage their audiences with acrobatic skills and gyrating dance moves. V6 hosts a variety show Gakkou e Ikou! where they feature their exploits as well as find talent from around Japan. A highlight of the show is the B-RAP segment where Japanese "rappers" attempt the high speed staccato of the genre to occasional hilarious effect.
