Please note that Seaman 2 only works with the special mic controller which makes our purchase of the regular edition of the Seaman 2 game pointless until the controllers are available separately. We have tested the Logitech microphone, the Jaleco Mic-chan microphone, and Konami's own Karaoke Revolution microphone but they do not work nor are they recognized by the Seaman 2 software.
Game Description from the Publisher
Seaman: The Forbidden Pet was famous for its innovative and original idea of communicating with a "Seaman" (a fish with a human's face) living in a fish tank, and enjoying your relationship with that obnoxious pet. Now the sequel to the Seaman franchise, "Seaman 2: The Primitive Beijing Man Parenting Kit" (aka Seaman 2) reaches the PlayStation 2.
In Seaman 2, you are granted with the ultimate experiment: you are to raise a mini-Beijing Man (about 20cm tall) in an imaginary island by communicating with him. As his parent and as the "god" of this given world, you will encounter numerous questions and answers of life.
Game Features
» Harshly Changing Environment - The experiment of Seaman 2 takes place on an island which sinks as the environment becomes damaged. You and your primitive man will be challenged by numerous obstacles and mysteries. Overcome such troubles together and see what lies beyond them.
» Experience the Role of a god - As the "god" of this given world, you must communicate with the primitive man using the "Sea-microphone controller1". You will be feeding him, teaching him words and how to work on his own, and etc. Look after your dear primitive man with all your love just like raising your own child. He may be difficult to get along with at first, but once you get to know him, he will become absolutely essential for your everyday life.
» Cooperating with the Primitive Man - The primitive man is always desperate to live. If you are slacking off as a parent, the primitive man will come to you with some sorts of demands so that they can survive. They may be quite a pain at times, but through such experiences, there will be a queer sense of teamwork between you and the primitive man…something you've never experienced in any video game before.
» Get Advice from Seaman - From the point of dusk till dawn will count as 1 day in this world, and a Seaman will come to you at the very beginning and end of each day. In the morning, it will give you advices, and in the evening, it will scold you like your mother if you're taking care of the primitive man poorly. If you wish, you can try out a "Seaman fortune-telling", but you never know what you might get…
» Sea-microphone Controller (SOLD SEPARATELY) - Sea-microphone controller is a controller with a microphone, developed to communicate with the primitive Beijing man vocally. The controller can be used by connecting the USB to the PlayStation 2.
