Neo-Geo Online Sunsoft Collection

«©NCSX» SNK pretty much produced all of the software for the Neo-Geo gaming hardware. There were some third-party publishers who supported the platform but it was up to SNK to keep the games rolling consistently on both the MVS and AES Neo-Geo formats. One of Neo-Geo's supporters was Sunsoft which produced a bevy of games for the Famicom, Mega-Drive, and Super Famicom back in the day but the company also gave the Neo-Geo a shot with two fighting games:

» Galaxy Fight - Eight motley fighters (emphasis intended on the word motley) fight with punches, lasers, and kicks on different planets.

» Waku Waku Seven - An enjoyable fighting game which features a cast of seven likable combatants such as the floppy Mauru.

   SNK digs both games out of Sunsoft's archives and re-releases them on the PS2. Per usual Neo-Geo Online Collection convention, both games have been updated with an online fighting mode (BB Multi-Matching), a character color-edit facility, and the ability to view a fighter's complete list of moves at any time by pausing the game.

Region Lock-out
Please note Japanese Playstation 2 games will not boot on USA or European PS2 consoles due to the inherent region-lockout on Playstation 2 game discs.

» Both games feature the original Arcade Mode as well as a Practice Mode.

» The blood runs ruddy.

» Either the d-pad or L-analog may be used to control the fighters in either game.

» In the OPTION menu, there's a BGM CHECK sub-option which allows you to listen to 80 tracks from both games.

Rai - Spiky haired lad who's vocation is boxing and can send a spark (that travels along the ground) projectile attack
Marurun - Big floppy creature who has a child sitting on its back. Has a powerful slap move.
Slash - Blue haired and mysterious dude who carries a glowing katana. He looks like a Phantasy Star hero.
Dandy J - Big bruiser in green pants and red boots who uses a length of black rope in his attacks
Politank Z - Cantankerous robot operated by two people who breathes fire and drops bombs
Arina - Jumpy rabbit-eared girl who's fast and jumps around a lot
Tesse - Floating blonde robot girl who can attack with a hypodermic needle that really sucks

* After three matches in Waku Waku Seven, you'll face off against Bonus-Kun.

* Both games can be played in Easy, Normal, Hard, and MVS modes.

Gunter - Fire breathing monster who bounds around like Blanka.
Alvan - A guy who sprouts two horns from his forehead and is the Prince of a ruined world known as Rozalis.
G.Done - A pimp from somewhere in the cosmos who's a real banger.
Juri - Redheaded Amazon who's fast with her kicks and combos.
Rolf - We used to call him Galactic Ryu.
Kazuma - Sort of like a ninja with two swirling wind attacks.
Musafar - Robot fighter who packs a wallop
Roomi - A bouncy cat girl who not only fights but sings.
