Region Lock-out
Please note Japanese Playstation 2 games will not boot on USA or European PS2 consoles due to the inherent region-lockout on Playstation 2 game discs.

NCS Game Notes
* The intro to the game shows a sporty white police car as it exits a garage and chases a monster truck which is armed with a gatling gun and lobs ordnance at pursuers. The bridge and cityscape appears to be NYC with a Mamma Leone's billboard and other ads. There are some slow-mo crash sequences as the police cars chase the monster truck throughout the city. Eventually, the cops launch a concerted missile strike at the truck and blow it off the road.

* Press Start and the following options appear: NEW GAME / LOAD GAME / CONTINUE. In NEW GAME, the options are: WORLD SUPER POLICE GALLERY OPTION. Two other options are unlockable: TRAINING and ROYAL SCRAMBLE.

* In the OPTIONs menu, which is entirely in English, there are options to set difficulty, Dual Shock vibration, volume levels, and set the subtitles and voices to Japanese or English. Control settings are also selectable.

* Upon starting the WORLD SUPER POLICE option, players select from Blue Wing or Red Hawk and zoom into action.

* The WSP was a special task force set up to combat the increasing traffic crime within the USA and Japan. Masanori Matsudaira belongs to the Blue Wing of the WSP Japan headquarters. He was patrolling the city when an emergency call came in. This was the call that led him to his destiny... The first level in WSP is to chase heavily armed bank robbers in Chuo Ward 7th district who are in a white van. Since they were sighted with firearms, it's up to the WSP to tackle the hooligans. Matsudaira rolls in an armored vehicle which doesn't have firepower but Matsudaira is sent on a chase mission to follow them into a road block.

* The first level only requires that the player pursue the van. There's never a chance to ram the van since the police car can't accelerate enough to reach the enemy. There are four camera positions which may be selected by the TRIANGLE button. BEHIND THE CAR, CLOSER BEHIND THE CAR, IN COCKPIT and a weird view where the front of the car is viewed from an in-front camera so that you can't see what's ahead or what traffic patterns are.

* The left side of the screen shows the road while the speedometer is on the lower-right corner. Communications with headquarters flashes on the bottom of the screen. There's a score indicator on the upper left screen and a car formation graph on the upper right.

* After the first level, there is a new car given to the player called the SP-Z -Basara- that's a Stealth type car. New recruits added to the WSP team include Takeshi Jo who specializes in data analysis. Then there's Katsutoshi Tomisaka who declares, "I'm tough and will fight to the end." There's also a girl recruit named Mayuzumi who is "honored to be here."

* Before some levels, it's possible to set the formation of fellow police cars, arm weapons, and other stats.
