NCS Product Synopsis
Update: September 16, 2004

«©NCSX» According to the story of Zettai Zetseumai, Japan started construction on a man-made island near Tokyo in 2001. Dubbed Capital Island, the new territory promises to ease some of the space constraints in Tokyo. After years of construction and migration, Capital Island bustles with activity in 2005. Half a million strong, the population settles in amongst a backdrop of modern metropolitan conveniences, towering buildings, and everything you'd expect in a major city.
That's when you come in. As a reporter for a major Tokyo newspaper, you're en route to your new assignment when an earthquake destroys the city. Trapped in the middle of what was once Capital Island, you figure it'll be a wise thing to try and find a way back to Tokyo. Two major enemies work against you: creaky infrastructure and thirst. Making your way through the city, you'll encounter crumbling roads, death drops on bridges, and dodgy buildings waiting to collapse. All of your exertion and walking brings on dehydration so you'll need to continually find sources of water to keep from dying of thirst. ZZT presents a unique concept which is executed superbly and keeps the level of suspense and foreboding intact throughout the game.
